Illustration inspired by photograph of four-year-old Jeannie Lebby celebrating VE Day on 8 May 1945 in Battersea, South London. The Union Jack she is holding is mounted upside down, possibly as a result of hasty preparation. Sadly Jeannie died a few days later from meningitis.
